I take astrophotographs and share my work on AstroBin, as well as through stock photography platforms.

Astrophotography brings two parts of my work together: capturing the night sky and building Nightpipe, my app for turning raw frames into finished images.

From a night of raw frames to images ready to review. Nightpipe automates calibration, stacking and processing for one-shot-colour astrophotography, using Siril for the core image work.
It groups frames by target and night, reuses calibration masters, grades and aligns exposures, then stacks and processes the results. A personal project built around my own imaging workflow.
Explore the workflow ↓03 / NIGHTPIPE
Start with the folder your rig syncs to. Nightpipe takes each session through a repeatable workflow, with a local web interface when you want to check in.
01 / ORGANISE & CALIBRATE
Read target and night from FITS headers, group the exposures, and build or reuse bias, dark and flat masters for calibration.
02 / ALIGN & STACK
Grade and register frames, reject poor exposures, and combine the rest with weighted stacking and outlier rejection.
03 / PROCESS & EXPORT
Remove gradients, reduce noise, and compare stretch and colour variants. Export 16-bit TIFF, PNG and JPEG. Dual-narrowband sessions can also produce HOO composites.
04 / LOCAL CONTROL
Browse the inbox, run or cancel sessions, follow progress, edit settings, and re-render with a different stretch from the local web control panel.
05 / UNATTENDED RUNS
Use the same processing pipeline from the command line or folder watcher. Designed for Windows alongside the rig, with macOS and Linux support.
06 / PROCESSING TOOLS
Siril is required. Optional GraXpert, StarNet2 and licensed RC-Astro tools add processing options. Available fallbacks are used where supported; unavailable deconvolution is skipped.
